Are You Stuck in The 'Waiting Place' ?

Heading towards the 'Waiting Place'

Dr. Seuss books are pumped full of wisdom, take for example “Oh the places you’ll go”. It’s a graduation speech with an important message of what pitfalls, obstacles and celebrations may lie ahead. At best it’s inspiring while at the very least, it’s hopeful in it’s best wishes with the gentle reassurance that trials in the wake of failure and solitude have been tried and conquered by others. Those things can be overcome!

What perhaps strikes me as the most important passage is the road to that most useless place, the ‘waiting place’..

“...waiting for wind to fly a kite

or waiting around for friday night

or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake

or a pot to boil, or a better break..."

Those two pages are excellent. I won’t quote the whole thing here but would suggest you pick up the book. While it’s great and geared for children, it does have some usefulness for adults.

So are you in that 'Waiting place'? Waiting for something to happen to begin to work towards what you want? What you need? Do you not know what you want or need and are just waiting for it to show itself?
