If you’re like me, you’ve seen the picks of a beat up Ryan Gosling a while back and couldn’t wait to see more behind, “Only God Forgives”. Well, the red band trailer is finally here and this Nicolas Winding Refn (Bronson) directmovie looks like it’s going to be pretty awesome. Check it out: This looks to follow up with Gosling’s tough as nails persona, as seen in “Drive” and “The Place Beyond the Pines”. Maybe we’ll get a box set when it’s all done and over. In any case, if movies starring Gosling keep up with that vibe and the trailers continue to have those great and different tunes, I know I’ll be waiting to pick up just about anything he’s starring in. Let’s hope he delivers.

![]() Here's an upcoming flick that looks like it's low flying on the radar. Surprising because both Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper are enjoying some career highs. Eva Mendes and crime drama veteran, Ray Liotta join the talented cast in what looks to be a movie to watch for. Take a look: Certainly plays up the indie feature vibe with the music. I love it. As far as story line goes, we've already seen a lot of what ' The Place Beyond the Pines' has to offer (Robber gets dangerously hungry for more robbery, and honest officer is faced with having to turn in crooked cops). Where this movie holds promise however is in the motivation behind the two key characters which seems to have the father and son relationship as focus. Movies.com says it's "An exhilarating epic of fathers, sons and consequences." I'm certain that Gosling and Cooper will meet up in this movie, but what happens when finally they do? What if one is responsible for the death of the other? No huge surprise there if that's the case. But, what if that one decision plants the seed for revenge in their sons? Like what if Gosling offs Cooper because he wants to provide for his son, but that ultimately takes away the thing he values most when Cooper's son grows up to kill Gosling's. Keep an eye out for this one. - Josh Sadly no cake, thankfully, no incineration either. While fans of the video game series will enjoy a spot on (unintentional?) GLaDOS voice for what sounds to be PR’s AI, everyone who has long awaited the release of the trailer can finally enjoy something to sink our teeth into. Take a look: It offers up some pretty interesting scenes including many Kaiju(giant monster)-less ones which I’m hoping means there’s a great humane side story here. There doesn’t appear to be any lacking in the department of special effects however with a rocket powered punch standing out amongst much CG. The movie’s directed of course by Guillermo del Torro and has been long anticipated. Question is, will the large beasts draw a crowd? - Josh GlaDOS Voice from Portal is in this Youtube Vid For reference: I have been waiting for so long to see the Silent Hill: Revelation Movie Trailer. Finally it's here. Via Yahoo movies. Take a look. It doesn't look too bad at all. Liking the mannequin spider. Hating Vincent casting. Looks like Pyramid Head is taking on some of the role of Valtiel in this one. Not too sure what I think about that.
I'll definitely watch this. Did anyone catch if Robbie was in the trailer somewhere? Also, What's your impression of the movie? - Josh To be certain, there is classic martial arts film influence on Hip Hop producer, Wu-Tang Clan member and Director, the RZA. It is no surprise that his venture into the directors chair yielded what looks to be an awesome martial arts epic. Take a look. Russell Crowe, and Lucy Liu... from writers RZA and Eli Roth... Presented by Quentin Tarantino... I'm in.
I'm loving the music at the beginning of this trailer. What kind of sucks about the movie is that the RZA doesn't seem to be listed as having to do with the music. I'm a huge fan of his work in Afro Samurai. In any case, I'm hoping that the score will be just as good. I have definitely added this movie to my "must see" list for when it hits the theatre. - Josh When I saw the campaign add for Will Ferrell and Zach Galiafianakis in character, I thought maybe it was a one off for funny or die or something. Turns out it's a full blown movie directed by Jay Roach who also directed "Dinner for Schmucks" and "Meet the Fockers"... wait a second... Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Ferrell and Galiafianakis fan, but I don't know what to make of this. To be fair, Roach did direct "Austin powers" and "Meet the Parents" which some will say are varying degrees of funny. Keep an eye on this one. If all else fails, at least we can all look forward to "Anchor Man 2".
- Josh Lovely Molly is movie by "the creators of the blair witch project". While they did manage to spook more than a few with the Blair Witch project, it was the worst received movie I had ever see in theatres. I'll take that they changed horror in some ways, but how do they intend to "...redefine horror once again"? Take a look: Because I did not see Molly be 'Lovely' anywhere in that trailer, and because their seems to be some suggestion of possession, I must conclude that they mean that Molly is actually the opposite of lovely. I didn't really see any redefining in this one. Paranormal activity already did the creepy AND the possession thing. The first half (The second half was awful) of Insidious also did the creepy thing without the use of first person camera work.
In the spirit of not mixing things up, Lovely Mary has included the cliche that they question the protagonists mental status... add a touch of dark, creepy basement. I feel like horror movie trailers should have a little more show then tell in delivering on their claims of bringing something new to horror. What do you guys think? Will the creators of Blair Witch project bring something new to the genre with their latest entry? -Josh Here comes “Looper” to just throw out all that we already know about time travel. Forget about all those crazy things that happen to you if you were to come face to face with your future self. Gone are the days of time traveling naked a la terminator. No special effects... you just... well appear. Take a look for yourself: It’s written and Directed by Rian Johnson (Brick(2005) and Brothers Bloom(2008)) and starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. While it does away with most of the flash of time travel, it may or may not give you super powers. I mean, is Bruce Willis powering up for something at 1:28?
That aside, it actually looks like it could be good if it doesn’t go over the top. If they steer away from impossible acrobatics and stick with action they may well have something here. - Josh Who missed out on the drop of the “Total Recall” trailer? It looks like the original except for the updated graphics (which look amazing). It’s directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard), And stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale (of course (He's married to Kate)) and Jessica Biel. I’m going to go ahead and say that it’s going to be good. Take a look for yourself: The question is, will this remake go in another direction with the story? Or will it stay faithful to the original classic? Will Collin Farrell be dressed as a woman at one point? and what will it have in place of arnold’s one liners? - Josh
See what I did there? Because the trailer has that reverse thing going on... While confusing, there might be just enough of a shred of coherent plot to get you wondering, "could this be good?" Take a look for yourself: "Hunger games" fans will be delighted to see that Jennifer Lawrence is in this movie... What a timely trailer release eh, riding on her surge in popularity after the "Hunger games" did so well! In any case, the trailer above doesn't look bad. We'll probably be better able to tell in a second trailer how well this movie holds up, especially without the backward bit going on.
