Meet up outside Joliet prison this week end in “The Blues Brothers” (1980) movie. Join freshly released, “Joliet” Jake (John Belushi (Animal House, SNL)) as he reunites with his brother, Elwood Blues(Dan Aykroyd (Ghost Busters, The Arrow)) and embark on a mission to save their old orphanage from ruin.
It’s a musical comedy flick. As the title implies, you can expect some blues, but be ready for much, much more. This movie has got cameos by: James Brown, Ray Charles, Carrie fisher, Aretha Franklin, and John Candy amongst others! It’s funny, carefree and it’s got car chase mayhem overload. I mean... There’s more shopping mall destruction, car crashes and pile ups then I’ve ever seen - and it’s all the product of a wild pursuit of the elusive blues brothers. But don’t worry - they were on a mission from god!
So this week end, get the band back together and raise enough money to save the day! And if you’ve already seen this flick; it’s time to do this quest, road trip and car chase all over again.
